Mixing /5.1 SURROUND Sound
At the heart of the studio is the Pro Tools and a whole lot of analogue signal processors which imparts the characteristic analogue sound which we love so much.
We have latest set of equipments for mixing of sounds with music which we use as per our clients requirements. Clients can choose to either work with Pro Tools or with Nuendo Software, we keep both the options open.
The Monitor room is 5.1 surround ready. Some of the Hindi feature films have already used the surround facility with great results.
5.1 ("five point one") is the common name for six channel surround sound multichannel audio systems. 5.1 is now the most commonly used layout in both commercial cinemas and home theaters. It uses five full bandwidth channels and one low frequency enhancement channel (the "point one"). [1] Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II, DTS, and SDDS are all commonly 5.1 systems. 5.1 is also the standard surround sound audio component of digital broadcast and music.
Cinema and soundtracks represent the major work of surround techniques at Ré n Rāgā , its scope of application is broader than that as surround sound permits us to create an audio-environment for all sorts of purposes. Multichannel audio techniques at Ré n Rāgā is used to reproduce contents as varied as music, speech, natural or synthetic sounds for cinema, television, broadcasting, or computers.
At Ré n Rāgā we use surround monitoring to envelop the movie watching or music listening producer, making them feel like they're in the middle of the action or concert. The surround sound movie soundtrack allow us to hear sounds coming from all around, and plays a large part in realizing what movie makers call "suspended disbelief". "Suspended disbelief" is when the producer is completely captivated by the movie experience and is no longer aware of their real-world surroundings.
All this is done with dedicated Genelec 8040 forming the main surround speakers along with a pair of ADAM Sub-1! The stereo monitoring chain also has Meyer Sound!

MASTERING:
All stages of recording and mixing leads to the final stage where the finished track is processed through final editing and mixing and then transferred to CD, DVD or audio file formats which is sent for replication and manufacture further copies. Mastering is important for quality check and quality control of the final audio files.
Good sound treatment through polishing, equalization etc is a job of skilful engineer supported by advance and state-of-the-art equipments and well-balanced acoustics. Mastering and sound restoration at our studios is possible from a number of formats be it Cassettes, Spools ,DAT Tapes, CDs, DVDs etc.. Digitizing material for future use or re-releasing any album tracks for these are valuable assets and counts on your business as you can get great returns from these, too.
We have stereo and surround mastering and mixing suites for creating a finished audio master in stereo and 5.1 audio production. Soon we will be delivering audio production needs for HD and Dolby recordings too.
